He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Smith Sr. and Ellen Smith (Fabri); and his siblings, Carter, Fred "Junior" Smith and Rhoda Duckworth.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Johnson, Ray Smith (Tracy), Anthony Smith (Kimberly), Laura Jasielum (Gary), Eric Smith (Penny) and Matthew (Lisa); and his sisters, Shirley Smith, Pauline Hoffman (Fred), Bessie Baughman and Dolly Spires. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
