He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Thomas and Mabel Augusta Klaiss (Hoover); his wife Viola Klaiss (Hammer); and his brother Adelbert Klaiss. He is survived by: his children, Mike Klaiss of Bettsville, Bill Klaiss Jr. (Diane) of Bettsville, Cheryl Yeakle (Paul) of Bettsville, Theresa Bankes of Willard, Karen Spurlock (James) of Tiffin, Howard Klaiss (Angie) of Bettsville and Dennis Klaiss of Bettsville; and his half-sister Linda Berger of Toledo. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter.
