He was predeceased by: his spouse Adelyn (Burd); his son Scott Stump; and his siblings, Don Stump, Dale Stump, Lawrence Stump, Wilma Brookover-Klotz, Marian Stump and Norma Stump.

He is survived by: his son Darrell L. Stump of Fostoria; his grandchildren, Molli Heffley (John), Megan Nevers, Lauren Stump and Morgan Stump; and his great grandchildren, Allison and Madison.
