Paul Schafer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Paul Schafer of Bethesda, Ohio, who passed away on January 10, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Schafer and Mary Davies Schafer; his daughter Cynthia Artrip; and his siblings, Margaret Perkins, Wilma Thompson, Warren and Jack Schafer.
He is survived by: his sons, David Schafer (Teresa) of Bethesda, OH and Doug Schafer (Elaine) of Belmont, OH; his son-in-law Bill Artrip of Bethesda, OH; and his grandchildren, Chad Artrip (Sara), Jeremy Schafer (Andrea), Justin Schafer (Karla), Alison Ricca (Paul), Lacy Gallagher (Derek), Alex Schafer (Jessica), Lindsay Schafer, Carly Stephen (Joe) and Madison Schafer. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
Due to the uncertainty during the COVID pandemic, a Graveside Service for Paul will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests, memorial contribution may be made to the Bethesda United Methodist Church, 233 North Main St., Bethesda, OH. 43719 or Bethesda Epworth Park, P.O. Box 374, Bethesda, OH. 43719.
