He was predeceased by: his father Elmer Niehaus; and his siblings, Gene Niehaus and Garnett "Sis" Rapp. He is survived by: his children, Robert Niehaus, Karen Hall (Rodney) and Debbie Powell (David); his grandchildren, Kayla Hall, Brandon Hall (Kelli), Joseph Powell and Gregory Powell; his great grandchildren, Caroline and Westley; his siblings, Jim Niehaus (Marge), JoAnn Corsmeier and Jerry Niehaus; and his pet Duke. He is also survived by many relatives, dear friends.
