He was predeceased by: his mother Obie (Roberta Blackburn); and his brother Wendell. He is survived by: his daughters, Marla Camery (Jay) and Monica Alsup (Thad); his grandchildren, Seth Kamphaus (Sonya), Jackson and Natalie Alsup; his great grandchildren, Oakley and Millie Rae; and his brother Daryl Blackburn.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Rise and Dine (101 E Plane St, Bethel, OH 45106).

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Ohio Veterans Home, 2003 Veterans Blvd, Georgetown OH 45121.
