He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmon Rose and Anna Rose (Halsey); and his brother Ron Rose. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Carmack; his children, Heather Steffes (John), Lonnie Rose Jr., Ginger Bryant and Geannie Rose; his grandchildren, Alexander White and Brooklyn Steffes; his brother Don Rose (Peggy); and his sister-in-law Barb Rose.
