He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Shields Smith; his children, Kathy Behne (Jerry), James Smith (Brenda) and Tim Smith (Mary); and his grandchildren, Amber, Logan, Heather, Andrea, Adam, Luke and Hannah. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
