It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harry Hobson Jr. of Bethel, Ohio, who passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Hobson and Loretta Hobson Sr. (Jenkins); his siblings, Raymond Hobson, Hazel Ginn (Alfred), Gladys Hale (Bishop), Irene Leonard (George) and Thelma Leonard (Owen); his brother-in-law Fred Dodson (Norma); and his grandson Nathaniel R. Hobson.
He is survived by: his wife Delores June Hobson; his sons, Richard Hobson (Ruth), Bob Hobson (Karen) and Dr. Harry Douglas Hobson (Cassie); his grandchildren, Paige Reitano (Josh), Rachel Hobson, Alex Hobson, Emily Edmondson and Nick Edmondson; his great grandchildren, Lucy Reitano and Crosley Reitano; his sister Norma Dodson (late Fred); and his sister-in-law Joan Hobson (late Raymond). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the E. C. Nurre Funeral Home (315 W Plane St, Bethel, OH 45106). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
