She was predeceased by: her parents, Augustus VanHoosier and Hattie VanHoosier; her husband Wilbur E. Godfrey; her daughter Brenda Godfrey; and her siblings, Harold, Doreene, Raymond, Herman, Halbert and Buck.

She is survived by: her children, Evelyn Hill (late Michael) and Carl E. Godfrey; and her siblings, Helen, Jackie, Homer, Howard and Betty.
