He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Gercke and Edith Gercke. He is survived by: his wife Donna Gercke; his children, Marcia Weldon, Keith Gercke and Gail Gercke; and his sister Pat Leberecht. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church endowment fund.
