He is survived by: his wife Elsie Carty (Kerns); his son Dan Carty of Berlin Heights; his brother Burnice "Burnie" Carty; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Megan, Carrie and Sondra. He is also survived by one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
