Katterheinrich of Berlin Center, Ohio, born in Sidney, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 25, 2024 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Platfoot and Esther Platfoot (Ware); her son Mitchell Katterheinrich; her brothers, Joe and Ralph Platfoot; her granddaughters, Cecelia and Christina Kirk; and her sister-in-law Nancy Van Keuren.

She is survived by: her daughters, LuAnn Kimker (Kenneth) of Waltham, MA and Jennifer Kirk (Christopher) of North Benton; her grandchildren, Hannah Kimker (Matt), Alexa Sprague (Kolby), Benjamin Kirk (Celia), Alexander Kirk (Paige), Caleb Kirk (Lauren) and Camille Kirk; her great grandchild Lola; and her siblings-in-law, Rita Platfoot, Barbara Platfoot, Peggy Lammers (Tom) and William Van Keuren.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, Berlin Center United Methodist Church, or Grace Lutheran Church in Jackson Center, OH, in Ellen's memory.
