He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Grissom and Leah Grissom; and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy"; his daughters, Elizabeth Johnston and Laura Hopkins; his siblings, Don (Marilyn), Jack (Nancee), Sandra Skinner and Deborah Grissom; his brother-in-law Patrick McGrath; his siblings, Jim, Elizabeth Ann Clewell, Norma Richter, Sue Thomas, Alice Patricia McGrath and Marjie Origlio; and his grandchildren, Herbie Johnston and Ethan Hopkins.
