He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville A. Peterson and Gladys P. Peterson (Light); his wife Doris J. Schoonover; and his siblings, Billie J., Jack N. Peterson and Edith H. Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen S. Crawford (Robert) of Benton Ridge; his siblings, Richard D. Peterson (Mary Lee) of Rawson and Wanda J. McCullough of Gilboa; his grandchildren, Kellie S. Kennedy (Chad) and Korrie J. Otto (Jacob); his great grandchildren, Bryce W. Mizen, DaVinity R. Crawford and Annah R. Bowen; and his stepgrandchildren, Annabelle, Bailey Otto, Daniel, Gage and Connor Kennedy (Barbara J. Smith) of Findlay.
Memorials may be made to either Calvary United Methodist Church in Benton Ridge or to the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
