She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Max and Nellie Bernice Phillips (Wright); and her brother Donald Ray Phillips. She is survived by: her husband Mark Mueller; her daughter Jonell Tolzda (Zach); her grandson Nash Tolzda; her siblings, Jana Crawford (Mike), Karen Long (Pete), Denny Phillips (Cyndi) and Darrell Phillips (Denise); and her half-sister DeDee Headly. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Karla's honor to a dog rescue of your choice.
