It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty J. Cookson (Bellevue, Ohio), who passed away on March 23, 2019, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Sherer and Mae Sherer (Shaw) of Midvale; and her sister Maxine Coventry. She is survived by: her children, Cathy, Betty, Jim Cookson Jr. of Portsmouth, Sandra, Douglas Gates of Norwalk and Catherine Alexander of Santa Fe; and her grandchildren, Cari Gates of Roanoke, Virginia, Stefan, Sarah Gates of Sarasota and Kristin Cookson of Huntington. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and friends.
