He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Bothel and Rosemary Bothel Castle (Cook); his siblings, Kenneth Bothel, Linda Ward (Lee) and Ann Layman (Jim); and his wife Karen "Kay" Bothel (Lykins).
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Schroeder (Mark) of DeGraff, Kenneth Bothel of Oil City, PA, Chris Bothel (Kristi) of West Mansfield, Sandy McBean (Jerry) of Delaware and Jeff Bothel (Christie) of Bellefontaine; his grandchildren, Breanna Buchenroth (Clinton), Kristina Bothel, Laura Gayhart (Allen), Shannon Bothel, Amber Woodbury (Nick), Dylan McBean (Jessica Hobbs), Kiarra Coats (Francisco Javier Gutierrez), Preston Bothel, Kaydence Bothel (Hunter Lattimer) and Cason Bothel; and his sisters, Pat Shoffner (Don), Kaye Bodenmiller (Greg) and Carlene Stearns. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Mt. Tabor Church of God (8113 Co Rd 13, De Graff, OH 43318). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
