She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gliebe and Virginia Gliebe (Grindle); her husband Robert Carpenter; her daughter Joyce Ann Cowan; and her siblings, Marcella Ritzler, Melvadine "Melvy" Park, Helen Ray, John Gliebe Jr. and Richard Gliebe.
She is survived by: her children, Janet McClain, Connie Bruckelmeyer and Robert Carpenter; her grandchildren, William Andrew Farmer, Stephanie McClain (Russell), Sonny James Scott and Daniel Wayne Scott; her great grandchildren, Paige McClain, Chad Wilt and Ethan Wilt; her nephew Steve Gliebe; and her nieces, Jennifer Stayman, Cathy Flowers, Margie and Cindy Ray.
