He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles T. Watkins and Venus E. Watkins (Cooksey); and his siblings, LeVonne "Lee" Bown, Meriam "Cindy" Keenan and Charles Eugene Watkins.
He is survived by: his wife Janet L. Herd; his children, Matt Watkins (Rebecca L.) of Bellefontaine and Rhonda Watkins (Andrew Potts) of Bonita Springs, Florida; his stepdaughters, Pamela J. Hefner (Charles) of West Mansfield and Rhonda L. Moore (Quint) of West Mansfield; and his grandchildren, Alicia Watkins, Erica Mills (Tim), Joshua Watkins and Justin Watkins. He is also survived by eight step-grandchildren.
