We bid farewell to Robert W. Carter of Bellefontaine, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 5, 2025 at the age of 93. Robert touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Harry Carter and Adalaide Carter (Andrews); his former wife Marlene K. Ealy; his son Robert S. Carter; and his siblings, Jay Carter, James Carter and Joan Kowalski.
He is survived by: his children, David A. Carter and Michelle Carter Eades; his grandchildren, Jessie Callahan, David Carter, Sarai Carter, Henry Carter, Gus Carter, Jack Eades and Carter Eades; his great grandchildren, Sloane, Brenner and Boone; his brother Jon Carter; and his wife Mimi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center (321 N Main St, Bellefontaine, OH 43311). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Presbyterian Church (117 N Main St, Bellefontaine, OH 43311). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery (595 N Detroit St, West Liberty, OH 43357).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to be sent to a local teacher fund.
