He was predeceased by: his parents, Doit Edward and Bertha Miller (Predmore); and his brother Doit Edwin "Pete" Miller. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Sue (Johnson); his children, Layne Miller (Julie) of Bellefontaine, Lori Jones (Alan) of Bellefontaine and Lisa Nevers (Scott) of Crestview; his siblings, Patricia Ceman of Windsor, Charolet Losey (Carol) of East Liberty, James Miller (Linda) of Pataskala and Richard "Butch" Miller (Peggy) of LaGrange; and his sister-in-law Janet Miller of West Mansfield. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter.
