He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stanley Newmeyer and Patsy Newmeyer (Shepherd); his fiancée Phyllis Huffman; his sons, Derek Newmeyer and Colton Newmeyer; his granddaughter Calla Newmeyer; his siblings, Scott Newmeyer (Tonya), Melissa Hazlet (Patrick) and Mia Newmeyer; his close friends, Susie, Brent Comer, Nicole Fulkerson, Nathan Harbor, Megan Buck-Lopez and London Lopez; his daughter Rosie Newmeyer; and his brother Rob Newmeyer. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
