He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Rockhold, Sr. and Mary Lois Rockhold (Bolden); his brother Marvin "Archie" Rockhold; and his grandson Jawuan Reynolds. He is survived by: his children, Deric Rockhold (Lanelle) of London, Anitra Rockhold, Amber Burnette of Columbus and Shayla Banks (Marcus) of Bowling Green; his grandchildren, Darion Rockhold (Taylor), Deion Rockhold (Hailey), Daeja Floyd (Blake), Markell Banks and Kacen Rockhold; and his sister Marsha Scipio (Eddie) of Bellefontaine. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
