He is survived by: his wife Martha Kennedy O'Connor; his children, Tim O'Connor (Tricia), Anne O'Connor (Jay Uhlinger) and Brendan Thomas O'Connor; his brother Tom O'Connor (Adie); his sister-in-law Anne Antonius; and his grandchildren, Grace, Sean O'Connor, Brendan and Rory Uhlinger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations are encouraged to the St. Vincent DePaul Society or the Mary Rutan Foundation Medical Scholarship program.
