She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonathan Lewis and Carrie Malvinda Brunson (Harvey); her husband John W. McMackin; and her siblings, Laura Alice Thurman, Mary K. Blackford, Mae Brunson, William Brunson, John Henry Brunson, James L. "Jim" Brunson and Paul Eugene Brunson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, a step-daughter from her first marriage, five step-children.
