He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Robert and Ann James (Spencer); and his sister Karla Powell. He is survived by: his wife Pam James (Shane) of Bellefontaine; his children, Teresa Thode (Christopher) of St. Petersburg, Michelle Suman (Chris) of Bellefontaine, Oren James (Stephanie) of Cairo, Sterling James of Omaha, Ashley Digby (Jonathan) of Grove City and Quinten James of Bellefontaine; his grandchildren, Celeste, Sasha Thode, Hannah, Riley, Emma Suman, Jonah, Lily Volbert, Ellis James, Regan James, Estelle and Theodore Digby; his brothers, Richard A. James (Carol) of Coon Rapids and Mickey C. James (Kathy) of Columbus; his former wife Kristine Sutterfield of Bellefontaine; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Powell of Findlay, Ohio, Karen Wendt of Irvine, California and Bob Shane of Parker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
