He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Houchin and Alice Houchin (Turner); his wife Ronda Parmer; his brother Michael Houchin; and his brother-in-law Mike Day.

He is survived by: his sons, Jeremy Houchin, Jason Houchin (Alicia) and Chad Houchin; his grandchildren, Jacob (Katelyn), Lance (Aubrey), Garrison, Rayvin, Jetta, Kaci, Tyler and Gracie; his great grandchildren, Jaxton, Raelyn, Jordyn, Beau, Chase and Marie; his brother Greg Houchin (Ann); his siblings-in-law, Anita Day, Karen Parmer, Melanie Geboy (Brian), Jerry Parmer (Jeannie), Dean Parmer and Doug Parmer; and his nieces and nephews, Dawn, Chris, Rob, Matt and Denae. He is also survived by his family and friends.
