He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Carter and Gladys L Carter (Malott); his sisters, Betty Carter and Juanita Miller; and his grandson Adam Ryder.
He is survived by: his children, C. Elizabeth Wallace (Mike) of Bellefontaine, OH, L. Susan Dornberg (Jim) of Carleton, MI, John Carter (Barb) of Payne, OH and Scott Carter (Marnee) of Quincy, OH; his grandchildren, Mindi Fisher (Nicholas), Kyle Dornberg, Lindsey Cook (Cory), Alex Dornberg (Jessica), Brian Carter (Mindy), Amelia Small (Chad) and Jed Carter; and his brother Jerry Carter (Donna). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
