With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George T. Raney Sr. of Bellefontaine, Ohio, born in Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on April 14, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Raney and Lucille Raney (Turpin); and his brother Robert L. Raney. He is survived by: his wife Deidre Mills; his children, Deborah Woodly (Keith) of Columbus, George T. Raney Jr. of Los Angeles, Brett Raney of Bellefontaine, Kim Raney of Dublin and Kip Raney of Bellefontaine; his grandchildren, Danielle Ciofani (Mike), Andrea Hinde (Ben), Gabrielle Ciofani, Weston Woodly, Mason Prickett (Haley), Logan Raney, Brenn Woodly and Shelby Raney; his great grandchildren, Lucibella, Sophiana, Solstice, Jasper, Michelangelo, Eleanor, Jack and Deidre; and his siblings, Rosalind Garland and Edward. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
