He is survived by: his mother Anne Sampson (Ganson); his wife Deborah Sampson (Sheeley); his daughter Robin Burton (Mike); his siblings, Steve Sampson (Susan), Joyce Hardman (Bill), Nancy Howell (Dave) and Patty Tharp (Dub); his sister-in-law Judy Sampson; his grandchildren, Jamie Burton and Joshua Burton (Kristen); and his great grandchildren, Willow, Ryder and Nova.
