He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter and Christina; and his siblings, Elizabeth, Rosey, Peter and Patsy.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Schmidt (Natzel); his children, David Schmidt (Rennie) and Drs; his grandchildren, Drew Schmidt, Josh Schmidt (Jessie), Emily Rogers (Jonathon), Donald Hughes (Lee Raska), Megan Schmidt (Drake Csage), Maxwell Hughes, William Hughes, Peyton Lichtenberg and Gunner Lichtenberg; and his great grandchildren, Callan, Lincoln and Tucker Schmidt.
