He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Robert Hemmer Sr. and Mary Ruth Hemmer (Geyer); his former wife Sandra Jean "Sandy" Hemmer; his siblings, Susan Kaylor, Peter Hemmer and Gregory Hemmer; and his brother-in-law Richard Martin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sara Ahlers (Ryan) of St and Lindsay Hemmer of Bellefontaine, Ohio; his grandchildren, Zachary, Carly, Mason, Gavin Ahlers, Matilda, Dane and Hannah Larson; his siblings, Kathy Martin of Urbana, Rebecca "Becky" McDonald (Leslie) of Bellefontaine, Ohio and Mark Hemmer (Kim) of Huntsville, Ohio; and his sister-in-law Stephanie Hemmer of Lima, Ohio. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and step-children.
