She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton E. Metz and Lenore Metz (Barnhart); her husband Cyrus E. "Cy" Mitchell; and her siblings, Lorraine Spencer, Allie Diehl and Earl Metz.
She is survived by: her sons, Don Mitchell (Arlene) of Bellefontaine, Bob Mitchell (Cheryl) of Bellefontaine and Tom Mitchell (Robin) of Bellefontaine; her grandchildren, Donald Mitchell II (Amber), Doug Mitchell (Jenni), Bob Mitchell Jr. (Laura), Christi Mitchell Dodds, Devry Shirk (Andy), Matt Myers (Heather) and Brock Mitchell (Chelsea); and her brothers, Arthur Metz of Bellefontaine and George Metz (Joanne) of Lakeview. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild.
