She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Shafer and Dora Shafer (Mattox); her son Fred L. Petty; and her siblings, Robert, Vernon, Harold, Eugene, Willard Shafer, Jr., Mary Coonfare, Edna Roth, Edith Foreman, Wilma Beard, Annabelle Fridley, Lola Stevenson and Evelyn Ransbottom.
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara; her children-in-law, Jerry Culp of Bellefontaine and Vicki Dinovo of Bellefontaine; her grandchildren, Kimberly Kirby (Joe), Tamara VonStein (Edward), Kevin Culp (Betsy) and Greg Culp (Susan); her great grandchildren, Johnathen Kirby, Emily Kirby, Jacob VonStein, Alex VonStein, Olivia, Wil, Benjamin Culp, Allison, Ryan and Matthew Culp; and her sister-in-law Ladema Van Gundy of Wapakoneta. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
