She was predeceased by: her parents, Julia Elder (Sapp) and Edward Elder; and her husband James Patrick Hess. She is survived by: her children, Jane Collins (Mike) of Alexandria, Virginia, Patrick (Cymbria) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Daniel (Mitzi) of Bellefontaine; her grandchildren, Sarah (Bryce), Mark (Roger), Luke and Lauren; her great grandchild Roman; and her brothers, Jerry Elder of Columbus, Ohio and Michael Elder (Carol) of Pataskala. She is also survived by four nieces and nephews.
