He was predeceased by: his father Bruce E. Compton; his wife Joyce L. Thompson; and his sister Janice Compton. He is survived by: his children, Shaun Compton (Cindy) of Roundhead, Lori Goldsmith (James) of Kenton and Beth Kretz (David) of Beavercreek; and his sisters, Helen Louise McDaniel of Florida and Joyce Shirk of Indian Lake. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
