He was predeceased by: his father Dean Ashba; his former wife Marie Harter Ashba; his brother Robert Ashba; and his brothers-in-law, J. Edwin Gantz, William Lee Gantz and Bobby B. Gantz.
He is survived by: his wife Jerolynn Ashba (Gantz) of Belle Center; his children, Darrold Ashba (Verna) of New Bloomington, Perry Ashba (Frieda) of Marion, David Ashba of Dublin, Linda Brammer (Dan) of Marion and Kathy Jeffers of St. Joe, Minnesota; his stepchildren, Deniece Knoblock (Robert) of Mesa, Katie Daniels (Art) of Belle Center and Joseph Ruhlen (Heather) of Waddell, Arizona; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Jean Ashba of Kenton, Eileen Lee of Bellefontaine, Marjorie King of Bellefontaine, Gaythel Krauss of Bellefontaine, Marilyn Gantz of Katy, LaDonna Gantz of West Liberty and Rex Flowers (Dora) of Alger. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
