He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hollingshead and Josephine Heath Hollingshead; and his siblings, Patricia McFeley, Edna Mae "Mazie" Warner, Gary "Gunny", Charles "Chuck", Thomas "Tom", John, Bruce and Richard Hollingshead.

He is survived by: his wife Tammy Sechrest Hollingshead; his children, Melissa Hollingshead of Nashville, Corey Sechrest (Kate) of Washington and David Hollingshead of Bellaire; his sisters, Shirley Brown of Powhatan Point, Kay Abrigg (John) of Wheeling and Sharon Kinder of Bellaire, Ohio.; and his granddaughter Ciaran Sechrest.
