He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lee Ney and Mildred Mae Henderson Ricer; his stepfather Charles Ricer; and his siblings, William Ney (Gladys), Emma Lou Palavido (John) and Charles Ney.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Helene Ney (McCloud); his children, Emmy Lou Charlton (Rick) of Bethlehem and Robert Ney, Jr.; his sister-in-law Evelyn McCloud; and his grandchildren, Lori Zombek (David), Staci Stewart (Adam), Richard Charlton, II (Tara), Tommy Charlton (Whitney), Tiffany Contreras (John), Robert Ney, II and Kayla Kidd (Adam). He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
