He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Sr and Elizabeth Hodgson Sr (Hall); and his brothers, Richard Hodgson, John Hodgson and David Hodgson.
He is survived by: his children, Patrick Varner (Dawn Frederick) of Martins Ferry and Melissa Hodgson of Bellaire; his siblings, Chuck Hodgson (Kelly) of Wheeling, WV, Daniel Hodgson of Michigan, Patricia Sapp, Deborah Hoskinson (Dennis) of St. Clairsville, OH and Millicent Laudermilt (Jim) of Wheeling, WV.; his granddaughter Ashley Padgett (Ryan); and his significant other Melanie Stevens. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
