He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Richard and Joanne Tobin; his stepgrandfather Albert Johnson; and his grandmother Marilyn Starkey Johnson. He is survived by: his parents, James Tobin and Lori Tobin (McCloud); his grandparents, James and Jeannie McCloud; his sister Erin Tobin (Chris Baker) of Bellaire, Ohio; his nephews, Hayden and Dalton; and his niece Katelyn. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles.
