He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Ann; his parents, Louis Bobek and Mary Bobek; and his siblings, Elsie Novak, Louis, Robert and Edward Bobek.
He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Friedler, James Bobek Jr. (Wilma), Ellen Olesinski (Ron) and Julie Barnhart (Henry); and his great great grandchildren, Melody Wiles, James Davidson, Danielle King (Andrew), Kyle Barnhart, Eryn Leffler (Brian), Jennifer Friedler, Christopher Friedler, Dean Olesinski (Emily), Nathan Barnhart, Asia Lee Ryan, Maegan Wiles, Tayden Bailey, Liam Leffler, Lorelei Ryan, Della Ryan, Wyatt Leffler, Andi Olesinski, Isabel Olesinski and Madeline King. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church.
