She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Thomas E. Ellis and Pellie Driver Ellis; and her siblings, George Ellis, Herbert Ellis, Luther Ellis, Reuben Ellis, Willie B. Ellis, Emmitt Ellis and Josie Mae Ellis Greer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nanette Cox of Madison, AL and Twyla Miller (Sherman) of Bedford Heights; her siblings, Norman Ellis (Lyna) of Cincinnati and Pellie "Ped" Williams of Joliet, IL; her grandchildren, Alexander Cox (Brooke) of Birmingham, AL, William Trey Miller of Bedford Heights, Jasmine Marguerite Miller of Cleveland, Alana Cox and Ava Cox of Madison, AL; and her adoptive son Rev. Avan Odom of Warren. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
