She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary McClendon and Andrew McClendon (Wilbur N. Rivers Sr.); her children, Doris Gibson, Wilbur Rivers and Bruce Rivers; and her son-in-law Marzett of Washington.
She is survived by: her children, Bradford Rivers (Angela), Mary Taylor, Valerie Rivers and Bernice Bonnie Marsh (Frederick); her brother Andrew Swain; and her son-in-law Leotis Gibson. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
