He was predeceased by: his son Jeffrey Lavelle Brinkley; his parents, Robert Edward Gray and Edith Wicks Gray; and his brother Robert Gray, Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Hazel Calloway, Ada Cartwright, Carolyn Gray, Rudy Gray (Dreama) and Brad Gray (Frieda); his stepdaughters, Stacy Gillon and Marlana Gonzales; and his grandchildren, Sincere Gillon, Shyne Gillon, Amani Gonzalez, Amira Gonzalez, Asher Gonzalez and Serenity Hilton.
