She was predeceased by: her parents, B. J. Brunson and Virginia Brunson; her son Garland Wimberly; and her siblings, P. J. Brunson, Edward Brunson (Janet), Paul Brunson, Willie Brunson (Alice), Ertha Miller and Ann Garrett.
She is survived by: her sons, Aaron Wimberly (Patricia), Thomas "Butch" Wimberly and James Mcvay (Carmen); her siblings, Ethel Brunson and Walter "Sonny" Brunson (Dorothy); her sister-in-law Mary Brunson; her grandchildren, Destiny Wimberly, Alaysha Wimberly, Tatum Wimberly, Tanyia Wimberly and Nondi Mcvay; her great grandchildren, Kali Brooks and Makai Brooks; and her niece Shirley Walker. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
