She is survived by: her brother Alvin Nelson; her son Kent Thurston Christopher McKinnon; her grandchildren, Marcia Yolanda McKinnon, Sydney Shanta and Adrian Jamaal McKinnon; her great grandchildren, Carlos, Megan, Bruce, Devonte, India, Tyree and Kaius Sebastian McKinnon; and her great great grandchildren, Carlos Junior, Carvon, Carneeka, Cartrell, Destiny, Braylin, Khaleesi, Amir, Ty'lea and Josiah.
