We are sad to announce that on May 8, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Ruth Thornberry of Beallsville, Ohio. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Riley and Mary Carpenter Riley; her husband Hollis "Tume" Thornberry; her sons, Gregory and Randy Thornberry; her granddaughter Kyla Isaly; and her siblings, Starling, Ora Riley, Beulah Neff, Dorothy Kuhn Schafer, Lela Jarrett and Lorena Groves.
She is survived by: her sons, Bradley Thornberry (Karen) of Beallsville and Jeffrey Thornberry (Theresa) of Bethesda; her daughter-in-law Mary Thornberry; her sister-in-law Dessie Riley; her grandchildren, Travis Thornberry (Christan), Erica Thornberry, Rayna Lucresio (Bruce), Nicole Trigg (Scott), Toni Gentile (Rodney) and Gregory Thornberry (Lisa); her great grandchildren, Kaylan, Trent, Tyler, Alexis, Mason, Emery, Leah, Paxton and Willow; her great great grandchildren, Karly, Brooklynn, Brady, Claudia and Andy; and her friends, Lisa Riley, Joyce Wehr and Astoria Place of Barnesville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
In keeping with COVID-19 mandates, face masks will be required at both visitation and funeral services.
In keeping with Ruth's giving spirit, her family requests that in lieu of flowers and keepsakes, contributions be made in her memory to Stonerise Hospice, 68150 Bayberry Drive, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
