He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Frye and Laura Pugh Frye; and his siblings, Rena Crawford, Florence Longwell, Verda Fankhauser, Elma Grasso and Orville Frye.

He is survived by: his children, Debbie Frye of Beallsville, Steve Frye of Beallsville, Vicki Frye of Beallsville and Doug Frye (Jodi) of St. Clairsville; his brother Perry Frye (Inez) of Hannibal; and his grandchildren, Jami Spence (Zach Matz), Tyler Spence, Simon, Brooke Frye, Murphy, Elsa Frye, Carl Frye, Paul "Dink" Frye, Perry Frye, Pearley Frye, Sam Frye and Leo Frye.
